Boycott AOL

www.prisonplanet.com/article...sors.htm

Time Warner's ISP, Road Runner, has blocked access to all of Alex
Jones' flagship websites across the entire United States.

We were first alerted to this problem early this morning when several
locals in Austin reported that they were unable to access
Infowars.com, PrisonPlanet.com or Prison Planet.tv.

Austin Time Warner had previously shut down access to our websites on
a whim, claiming they were 'hate material' but in all cases had
quickly restored them after receiving complaints.

However, this latest attack on free speech is occurring nationwide,
with Time Warner subscribers from New York to California reporting
that their access to the websites is being blocked.

The last attempt to shut us down came shortly after the London
Bombings, which saw our traffic go through the roof after we released
a plethora of articles exposing government involvement.

The consequence of this is that Prison Planet.com alone on some days
gets more hits than the Britney Spears website or Rush Limbaugh.

Previously we reported that UK ISPs like Tiscali were blocking their
subscribers from accessing the website after the 7/7 bombings.

It is obvious that those in high places are showing their
disapproval. This only vindicates all the information we have been
putting out.

How can a website that merely reports and comments on mainstream
media articles be described as 'hate' unless there's a different
agenda afoot? How can Bill O'Reilly get on Fox News and call for
assassinating Prime Ministers and Pat Robertson on the 700 Club do
the same and yet we get censored for being hateful? We have never
called for violence against anyone and actively encourage peaceful
exchange of information.

This is part of a growing trend of authoritarian censorship of the
Internet in preparation for the emergence of Internet 2, where only
government approved websites will be allowed to exist and the old
Internet will be shut down.

Monolithic corporations in lock-step with government are following
the Chinese model, where any website mildly anti-establishment is
immediately shut down and its owners arrested. The vast majority of
Internet cafes in China were shut down in 2002 after the government
started a fire in one Beijing cafe and then demanded all the rest be
shut down for 'safety reasons'.

Under anti-terrorism laws in Italy, Internet cafe owners are forced
to take photo ID's of all their customers and install key-logging and
filter software which blocks any websites the government chooses.

Today's actions by Time Warner fall into the same category. The First
Amendment is under siege by jack-booted totalitarians in suits that
graciously lick the boots and follow the orders of the establishment
lackeys.

In 2002 Dell Computers cancelled an order placed by Weigand Combat
Handguns because the company name triggered a security alert. The
word 'combat' was not accepted by Dell's post-9/11 security alert
system. This is an example of the inane and sweeping nature of these
filtrations systems and the blanket idiocy applied to these cases.

We are urging all our readers (not that you will even be able to read
this if you subscribe to Time Warner!) to boycott any Time
Warner/Road Runner ISP service and cancel your subscription with
them. They have proven themselves time and time again to be an anti-
American freedom hating tool of the establishment.

We urge you to double your efforts in spreading the truth. Copy and
distribute our artcles more than ever. We are under a direct assault,
the only response needs to be a massive and powerful counter-
offensive. To all alternative media websites, please post this
article as we are all in the same boat, we are all under enemy fire.

If Time Warner do not immediately restore subscribers' access to our
websites we will initiate a wider boycott campaign. They are already
receiving a deluge of complaints and according to some are now
claiming that this is an 'error' that they are looking into and
citing other websites that have also been affected, even though these
websites are having no problems.

We will update this article as and when Time Warner restores access
to Alex Jones' websites. If they fail to do so we will carry
telephone numbers and e mail addresses for people to make their
complaints.

AOL relies heavily upon an uncensored internet to maintain and operate their business.   Yet much evidence reveals that AOL itself practices the vilest form of censorship.   This author has personally had his own AOL accounts terminated simply for standing up for responsible fatherhood, while the vilest forums on pornography, lesbians, gays [read: legalized sodomy], and anti-Christianity have been permitted to fluorish.

The damages done by AOL by such censorship are irreparable,  so the only solution is to ban AOL from all access to OUR internet:

  1. We demand that all email from AOL be banned from the internet.
  2. We demand that AOL not be allowed access to ANY PORTION of the public internet.
  3. We demand that AOL pay reparations to all ex-AOL members and current AOL members whose accounts,  email, or internet access has been restricted in any way.

My two news items sent out yesterday were 100% censored by AOL. This change came about after 5 years, not because their machinery thinks I've spammed, but because there were  "several" complaints from filthy pork-evaders. Important to weed jews out of your lists.

To circumvent their equipment, I am told I can service AOL accounts from gmail.com.

Here is what I get when sending to AOL via Earthlink. I've truncated the beginning of each address to hide their identity. The list comes in alphabetically, descending. The complete list goes all the way from "Z" to the letter "A", you get  the idea:

AOL Madness (Warn Your Friends)

AOL is at it again. This time, it's reading *inside* its members' emails, and preemptively blocking any messages that contain links to sites that AOL doesn't want you to see.

Note: I'm *not* talking about simple mail blocks, where a mail is discarded if it originates from a "forbidden" address. No: AOL is parsing the content of its members' emails and blocking them even if they merely *mention* a site that AOL disapproves of.

This happened to my last newsletter issue, when I mentioned a perfectly valid and inoffensive link: http://www.codeproject.com/ . It turns out that last summer, in July, AOL put that site on its naughty list for some unexplained reason, and ever since has blocked all emails that even contain a link to that address.

When my list-host ( http://dundee.net ) noticed huge numbers of AOL emails bouncing back, they preemptively sought to find out why, and the folks at AOL then removed the block--- on that one address.

AOL's mail system is just this side of insane. Not only does it read inside member emails for links that AOL doesn't like, but--- as we've reported before--- if AOL members get a little lazy and block a newsletter like this one, instead of unsubscribing, AOL keeps track of the blocks. Last time I looked, if as few as 10 readers took the lazy way out of stopping a mailing, AOL would assume that the mail in question was spam. In my case, if just 10 AOL users out of 160,000 readers--- that's 0.00006 of my readers--- took the lazy way off the list, all AOL subscribers would have their legitimate issues blocked for some time thereafter.

AOL's user-level mail filters are nearly useless because the master filters discard emails before they ever make it to the users' mailboxes and the local filters there. That means AOL members can white-list senders to their heart's content but it will have no effect at all on the pre-filtering that's done by AOL before their mail ever gets delivered. AOL's user-level mail controls are a little like those fake thermostats you sometimes see in office buildings that are meant to give occupants the illusion of local control, when in reality, a central system is making all the real decisions.

Noted tech writer Brian Livingston also has been struggling with this, as he reported in http://briansbuzz.com/w/040408/ . Just look at the jaw- dropping failure rates he found:

I've written many times that Internet service providers (ISPs) are mishandling the growing menace of spam by imposing crude "junk-mail filters" that delete legitimate messages without notifying the intended recipients of that fact.

...AOL "bounced" about 88% of the newsletters that had been sent to subscribers who use aol.com e-mail addresses. The problem was also severe at subsidiaries owned by AOL, including cs.com (which bounced 88%) and netscape.net (96%).

...[AOL's] filter simply deletes huge quantities of mail without ever delivering it... (click link above for full article)

If you have friends on AOL, you may wish to tell them about this ( http://www.langa.com/sendit.htm ) so they'll know why their email is so unreliable. Of course, there's no guarantee they'll see your email, just as there's no guarantee that legitimate subscribers to this newsletter on AOL will get this issue....

But there's a glimmer of hope: For the first time ever, AOL's membership has started to shrink significantly. Users are finally realizing they can get better service at lower costs from other ISPs. Perhaps if enough members vote with their dollars, AOL will wake up and meaningfully change its Big Brother-ish ways.

This newsletter is SPAM PROOF and requires two levels of subscriber confirmation before delivery begins: See http://langa.com/info.htm
