According to modern science the Earth has been around 4 billion years. During that time we have had massive floods and earthquakes, volcanoes which heated up the entire planet, and ice ages with one as recently as 4,000 years ago.
To walk in at the last second of that lifetime and declare that you KNOW its life is being threatened, based on measurements that were made in less than 0.000000025% of that lifetime, with no way to compare it to the data during the REST of that 4 billion year lifetime, is NOT SCIENCE--it's pure quackery.
It's like walking into the last four seconds of the four hour movie "Gone With the Wind", hearing Brett say "frankly, my dear, I don't give a .amn", and claiming to be an expert on the Civil War.
That's even too conservative. The last 4 seconds of that movie is
0.028% of the movie. The last 100 years of our 4 billion year old planet is
0.0000025% of that lifetime. So to put it into perspective, you must divide that
4 seconds by 11,200. Since there were 10 syllables spoken in that four
seconds, this works out to 0.09% of a single vowel, so the proper analogy would
be that the" theory" of global warming is equivalent to claiming you can become
an expert on the Civil War by hearing far less than a single vowel from Brett.
Furthermore, we know that most so called scientists LIED about the data, threw out data which didn't fit THEIR curve, lamented in "private" emails [read: PUBLIC as ell], that we were actually experiencing global cooling--and that the polar bears are still there.
