"New", or "renewed" EVERLASTING covenant?

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

A primitive root; to be new; causatively to rebuild: - renew, repair.

The "altar of the LORD" wasn't created anew, as it already existed.  The above definition of the Hebrew word "chadash" is correct in that it means "repaired" or "renewed", and it's correct that it means "to be new" only in the context that something that already existed was renewed or repaired.

So for the KJV translators to claim that Jeremiah referred to a "new" covenant reveals their predispositions or biases during translation of the Word of God.  Jeremiah's use of the Hebrew word "chadash" in reference to God's EVERLASTING covenant could ONLY mean a RENEWAL or a RESTORATION of the EXISTING EVERLASTING covenant, just as it meant the RENEWAL or RESTORATION of the already existing "altar of the LORD" in 2 Chronicles 15:8.

The EVERLASTING covenant God made with Abraham thru Jacob CANNOT be abolished, so God cannot make a "new" EVERLASTING covenant.  All God can do is renew or repair His existing EVERLASTING covenant.  When Paul quoted Jeremiah in Hebrews 8:8, we know that he too was referring to a RENEWAL of the existing EVERLASTING covenant God made with Abraham through Jacob, not the abolishment of God's EVERLASTING covenant and it's replacement with a "new" covenant:

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Following is the existing [and indestructable] EVERLASTING covenant:

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee [Abraham] and thy seed [genetic descendants] after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed [genetic descendants] after thee. Genesis 17:7

Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, 1 Chronicles 16:16-17

And thou saidst, I will surely do thee [Jacob] good, and make thy seed [genetic descendants] as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. Gen 32:12
